Our government was founded upon the belief that it was to be the people’s government. By limiting those numerous voices into two groups, many voices go unrepresented and votes are seemingly pointless.Accurate representation of minority groups is diminished. Another consequence of the two party system is that one party will almost always be in the majority, but only marginally. When compromise becomes necessary, it is near impossible to come to a conclusion that satisfies both parties. With the introduction of another party, it is likely there would never be a majority and a compromise will need to be reached to gain majority.
