The game is to find three eyes in the other world before time 's up. Each eye was found in a garden, a theater, and the mouse circus. Beldam did not like to lose so she asked her to find her parents than she could go. Coraline knowing that they are in a snow globe says they are behind the locked panel. While Beldam is unlocking the panel, Coraline snatches the snow globe and dashes to the panel. After a quick chase scene, Coraline 's made it back home and her parents were freed, with no memory of ever being in a snow globe. The book and film Coraline shows a more subtle version of dark humour. These are both made for children so the creators can 't have made it too dark and graphic. But still, the act of taking out your eyes and then sewing them shut with buttons is still pretty graphic. Even more so the other world turns terrifying once Beldam is revealed in the film. The dogs own by the actresses turn into bats the mice turn into rats, while other dad tries to attack Coraline with a creepy lawnmower. James Berardinelli reviewed One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo 's Nest for Reelviews.net, he said that the film was filled with interesting and complex characters. He also mentions that even though the main plot is about the battle between McMurphy and Nurse Ratched, underneath that is the fight for individuality in an autocratic system. Scott did a review of Coraline back in 2009 for NY Times, they mentioned that what made the film good was the fact that even though the world created by the monstrous other mother was creepy and magical at the same time, Coraline 's character was determined and real. Making her a good heroine. Now here is the Rotten Tomatoes reviewers, the overall consciences is that this movie shows us the nightmares that happen real
