Differences And Similarities Between Actors And Athletes

Decent Essays
Did you know that job statfiation is at its highest in the last decade? Choosing a job you enjoy and want to go with is a very important step in life, two picked options are actors and athletes. Today I am going to compare and contrast the two, because even though it seems like they have a ton of diffrences, they are alike for some reasons to. The reason why I am going to be doing this is to help people decide between the two options.

To start off with comparing and contracting the two choices I will start off with how to become one. On both choices a formal education is not required but it is suggested that for a sport you start it in school to start to gain the skills for it or just pratice on your own, and for acting it´s suggested that if you are in school you join a skill to also help your skills.

There is no extact age you can start, meaning you can get a role or go to a acting school early in your life giving you more time to get better at it, while as a athlete you can still join a sport you will not be getting pay and there is really no chance to end up to getting in the big leagues due to your age. Also, another reason I think a actor is a better choice because you don’t really need to be in shape, giving more oppurtinitys, even though being in shape is good, you won’t have to get really in shape to get a job. The third reason is the chance of getting a injury in sports, you could get a injury while acting if you are a stunt double in a action scene or something but the chance of getting hurt while acting is lower then getting hurt in a sport. Those are the reasons why I chose actor as a better job, even though both choices are good choices, I consider acting to be a better choice out of the two, those were most of the ways they compare and contract and that is the result I have

Once in awhile, there is a name that just embeds itself in my brain and I cannot seem to obliterate it. Interestingly enough, it just so happens that Preston Vanderslice is one of those names. Thankfully, he is more than just a memorable name as he is a noteworthy actor as well. I first noticed him in Love By Chance, and it seems as though Hallmark, amongst other things, is slowly beginning to learn and take advantage of his potential as an artist. Recently, I had the opportunity to ask him a few questions (and completely misread one of his credits--keep reading, you 'll understand what I mean), and he was kind enough to respond with a little insight into his career and even expound a bit upon his outlook on this polymorphous industry.…

The opinion piece, “The Athletes as Agent of Change,” by Lonnie Bunch and David Skorton discusses how many athletes have done a many of gestures, that portray the idea that certain people are not treated equally in the United States. I believe that athletes should use their fame to promote a political agenda, because they can get the word out to all of their fans, and post the event he or she wants to help on their social media accounts. In the article, “The Athletes as Agent of Change,” by Lonnie Bunch and David Skorton states in paragraph 3, “The institution has also been used to prove the worthiness of a marginalized group and prod the nation to live up to its stated ideals.” Living up to the Constitution, is respectfully “asking” the country…

I loved film, theater, and television because it let people escape for a moment into a fictional world. As an actress, you could be someone else. But on the flip side, I’ve since learned that actors are really not supposed to be trying to act--they should be trying to portray real life. When I was in high school, I got involved in the theater program, but I didn’t think it could be a real career. So I went off to the university and pursued a degree in marketing and…

Because Appetite For Love holds such a treasured place in my heart (I got to interview both male leads--Andrew Walker and Marcus Rosner--and they were kind enough to let a novice feature them), I often find myself going back to my review of that film and attempting to connect with the supporting cast of that momentous film. In the case of Antonio Cayonne, I was so pleased to see that he is again being featured in a Valentine's film on Hallmark, and it was a great joy when he agreed to answer a few questions about his journey to become an actor, his current and notable works, and his general outlook on the industry and life as a whole. RH: Why did you decide to become an actor?…

Picking a thesis that encompasses all of America’s sport history, or any aspect of America for that matter, is extremely difficult. One thing that is hard to argue against is an athlete’s power in addressing the general public whether they want to or not. Athletes are constantly under the magnifying glass of America, if they choose to promote a certain issue everyone will know about it. On the flip-side, if an athlete can be seen representing an issue just by being a part of something bigger than themselves, Americans will take note of that as well. America Sport…

Which is more beneficial, team sports or individual sports? When comparing team and individual sports, most people do not realize how easy it is to pick out the similarities and differences the two have. Individual and team sports have the same main purpose, but the motivation, competitiveness, and life skills set them apart. In athletics, most athletes set goals for themselves, whether it is a personal goal or a team goal. It is pretty easy to set a goal, but the person setting the goal may never reach it without motivation.…
