She concealed herself by walking very briskly with her head down and acting as if she were on the phone. My sister and I were star-struck; we soon regretted not stopping her to take a picture. Shortly after, it was finally time for us to board the plane. I was given an offer to ride first class since it was my birthday. However, I declined since it was my first time flying, and I did not want to separate from my family. As the plane accelerated for takeoff, the turbulence of the plane wearied me at first, for the plane began to rock from side to side, and my ears began to pop. The site made me want to make a change in the world and provide the homeless with shelter and food. Seeing their ripped and frayed clothes made me realize how fortunate I was. I did not have any money at the time, but my sister would give them some of the money that she had. Moving away from the bad parts of New York, we visited many astonishing landmarks, such as the Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, the Rink at Rockefeller Center, and Madame Tussauds.
Speaking of Madison Square Garden, across from it was my deceiving hotel. When I entered the lobby of the hotel, it looked very luxurious and full of intricately designed, polished furniture. However, the rooms were a different story. My jaws dropped when I stepped into the room, and my eyes popped out of my head. I was shocked by what I saw, for my dad paid a colossal amount of money for the room. There were holes and cracks in the wall, and the bed looked broken down; the site just made me squeamish.
