During my time of employment, I worked with adjudicated delinquent as they served their sentence and complete different court requirements. These children dealt with different mental illness and childhood traumas. After developing a working rapport with the juveniles, I notice the same pattern of recidivism and intergenerational offenders, that displayed in reentry a was common know matter the background or geographic location. I decided to take a different approach in the rehabilitation and habilitation of the residents by teaching/ discussion the importance of developing a post release plan and taking a active role in aggression management and substance abuse groups. I became empathic, angry, and passionate about understand the issues and lack of resources that cause myself and other to learn to cope with the social mental and emotional trauma on our own. The education received from the university and the connects with the local and state agencies dealing with social change. This degree would strengthen my abilities to identifies and treat/refer the at risk youth to services dealing with issues they face. I would be able to understand polices that affect the youth as well as the importance of working with management. The management and policy concertation will provide me with the ability to successful develop and sustain programing for organization who target this at risk population. Attending this program can/ will help me develop relevant resources to successfully build a community to support the social, economic and mental needs of children with incarcerated
