Do you remember the World Trade Center bombing of 1993? People thought for a long time that the government was behind the 1993 bombing. Then 2001 attack happened, people forgot about the 1993 bombing. Let’s see how this bombing was planned out and see if the 2001 attack was by the same terrorists group.
The terrorist had this attack panned out for a long time. They had blue prints of the World Trade Center. So they knew where to park the van, where it would affect the most people. “Authorities uncovered a related plot in which followers of Sheikh Aodel Rahman planned to blow up the George Washington Bridge, the United Nations headquarters, and other New York landmarks” (1993 World Trade Center Bombing Fast Facts).
The World Trade Center was bombed on February 26, 1993. The bomb was detonated at 12:18 p.m. “World Trade Center bombing which killed six people and injured more than 1,000” (1993 World Trade Center Bombing Fast Facts). The survivors left the building in many of different ways. Thirty people was airlifter because of medical reasons. The elevator was full of people. They had to cut through the sheetrock in the 58th floor women’s bathroom.

Out of the 1000 people injured, there was eighty-eight firefighter, thirty-five police officers, and one medical services worker injured during the cleanup of the World Trade Center.
The group rented a Ryder van and loaded it down with 1,200 pounds of explosives. They drove the van to the underground parking deck. They parked the van in the secret section. This section of the parking lot is right below both buildings. That’s where they left the van and got in a getaway car after lighting the
