Sauls and Glassley conducted this research to evaluate the development of the Adolescent Support Model that conceptualizes on the intervention of nursing care in adolescents during childbirth. They demonstrate an understanding of the model by independently addressing the different issues present, which include the perspectives from all parties and the supportive needs of the adolescents. The article demonstrates the supportive needs of the clients during childbirth and breastfeeding.

The program, which is referred to as Male Involvement Program (MIP), was started in 1995 and this research claims it has borne fruits. Throughout the program, more men were educated on how to take protective measures and avoid adolescent pregnancies.
The strength of the study is it use of actual models developed by the California’s agency, which makes it unique. In addition, it used many past studies that make it dependable. The weakness of this study is its use of a limited sample consisting of only strong men to promote positive reproductive health among males.
The Government of Arberta formulated guidelines that could be used by the reader to give mentorship services to school-going children. The article states there are various goals for mentors and mentees. By understanding these goals, the article demonstrates that it can be easier than people believe, to offer and receive mentorship services. However, the mentee must be addressed with uttermost sensitivity and care for the process to become successful.
The article demonstrates how mentorship programs can impart positive attitudes among school-going children and prepare them for post-secondary education. The models and practices illustrated in the article show that school-going children can be molded into positive individuals through effective mentorship programs.
