So the first thing I need to work on is being persistent in overcoming my anxiety. I feel like to help my social anxiety is to mostly stop worrying what others think of me. I need to understand that everyone is going to have their opinions about me and that everyone will not like me. I’m going to constantly remind myself that the only opinion that matters is my own and God’s. This also makes me need to raise my self-confidence. The best way to deal with my anxiety about my future is by living today instead of worrying about what tomorrow brings. Overcoming my anxiety about being “perfect” requires me to change my mentality to “I have to” to “I want to.” Instead of feeling like I have to get good grades for grad school, I need to think as I want to go to grad school so I want to get good grades to be accepted. My biggest problem with trying to overcome my anxiety is persistent. I need to do stress management tips and stick with it. Everytime I feel stressed, instead of breaking down I need to do something to lessen my stress. I also realise every time I stray away from God and His word, I tend to see my anxiety increasing. I believe I need to hand all my stress and anxiety over to Him and He will guide me through it. I need to stay constant in my faith and grow closer to God.
