A frequent question asked by many high school seniors is, “Should I go to college after I graduate, or do I take a gap year?” Some kids lean towards going to college while some lean towards going into the real world. Of course people can go straight to college and get a degree and graduate before they are 23 or so. But, most kids these days are taking the year off of school to get out into the real world and stretch their wings. Some reasons for taking a gap year is; to get a job and save money, get real life experience, see what it is like to live alone or with someone, try new things, and finally to find out what a person wants to do with their life. But in the end taking a gap year is a good thing and can help in many different ways.

This is important because trying new things is how people live life to its full potential. If someone just did the same stuff over and over again they would not really be living. It also helps to try new things so that a person can broaden their view of hobbies or work places or anything. With trying new things, a person would be able to find out what they want to do with life.
