Realist assumptions believe human nature has a dark side therefore I would advise President Obama to stay out the war. Niccole Machiavelli said “Therefor it is necessary for a prince, who wishes to maintain himself, to learn how now to be good, and to use this knowledge and not use it, according to the necessity of the case.” This directly states that we need to maintain the US as a county therefor being good (helping another country) is not an option. As a realist perspective advisor I would side with President blank blank. I wouldn’t see his actions as cruel. I would see him as a powerful lead that isn’t being praised, he has to be feared to maintain his role. Machiavelli said “All men are reputed for certain qualities which they are either praised or blamed.” As a liberalist advisor for President Obama I would approve US interest in the conflict. A liberalist assumption is that human nature has a better side. Another assumption is “Cooperation is possible in the international environment thanks to commerce, international institutions, democratic states, and international law.” This directly states that as nation states we have to cooperate together to face international conflicts. Finding a compromise is possible because human nature has a better side. I would advise Obama to team up with NGOs that are helping Syrian refugees. This is yet another liberal assumption, "NGOs are often important.” As a liberal advisor I am optimistic about human nature and the international environment. I am suppose to make the world a better place, with that being said as an advisor I would encourage US involvement to help stop the Syrian civil war. As President Obama’s advisor with a realist view I would suggest that this situation could get out of hand. Due to my pessimistic view of human nature I would infer that this conflict will spread to the US. I would suggest that the US send a

Against the sound advice of the first President of the United States, our Commander in Chief has injected himself in the affairs of other nations and committed our military to battles in which there is currently no victory in sight. Washington stated that, “It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world”. In direct contrast with the sound advice of the Father of our Country, President Obama has forged alliances with foreign nations whose sole purpose is to eradicate the USA and our allies from the face of the earth. The Iran Nuclear Deal enacted by him and five other world powers, was presented to the American people as a means to bring global peace because it would limit Iran’s nuclear program. In reality, it has removed all sanctions against them by releasing their frozen assets and in addition, provided them with the monetary means to expand their nuclear capability to destroy not only Israel, but to assume power over all of the Middle…

America cannot continue to say “us” and “them” because we are all one species sharing a planet. We must help the Syrian refugees out of the human compassion that everyone has. The opposing views of this issue must be able to agree that we must at least aid the refugees still overseas. The United States has already taken in 1,500 refugees and gradual increase in the amount of refugees resettled to the States would please both sides of the conflict. Gradual resettlement would begin with the states willing to take in refugees and then eventually, the rest of the states, as the states do not have actual control over a foreign affairs issue.…
