1. The occupation I have chosen to research is surgeons. Some reasons I have chosen this occupations is because I would love to help people from dying and watching “Grey’s Anatomy” makes me want to operate on people. There are many types of surgeons around the world; some includes; a Neuro Surgeon operates on the brain, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon operates on the heart, and a Plastic Surgeon makes people look how they want to look. 2. There are many responsibilities that you need to take being a “high class” surgeon. 3.A couple of organizations that would employ surgeons/doctors are clinics and hospitals. Clinics employs doctors so they can do stuff like check-ups,checking for allergies, and if you are sick they will prescribe you medicine. Hospitals employ surgeons so they can operate on people to save them from dying. 4.Surgeons attend school for a long time, but their hard work will pay off. According to OK Career Guide, “surgeons need 4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of medical school, and 3 to 8 years of internship and residency.” Some classes that Durant High School have to prepare for being a surgeon is Health Science. Health Science teaches us to know what organ is what and what to do if someone is hurt. Surgeon’s expected sequence is to rise up higher in the next years. What this means is that more jobs are opening up for future surgeons. They need more surgeons because more accidents are happening in the world.7. Surgeons are on call when the hospital needs them. It means when your shift is over and you’re relaxing at home, suddenly you get a call because you are needed for his/her assistance or need to operate on someone. Surgeons work a lot of hours. According to “General Surgery Residency Program,” “all residents have an 80 hour shift per week.” There are sleeping facilities that the hospital provides for the surgeons so they can stay and sleep. 8. In a hospital there are many health hazards. According to The Nest, “Surgeons work with sharp instruments, now the surgeons are in hazard. Something can go wrong and they accidentally cut themselves and get their hands injured.” In a hospital the main important part of the surgeon are his/her hands. Hospitals depend on the surgeons not to do anything to hurt his/her hands. They treat their hands as they were gold. 9.
