“Standing alone is better than standing with people who hurt you.” (unknown) Domestic violence is violent or aggressive behavior within the home, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner-- may be married or not married; living together, separated or dating. Domestic violence examples includes: name-calling or putdowns, keeping a partner from contacting their family or friends, withholding money, stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job, actual or threatened physical harm, sexual assault, and stalking. Domestic violence affects so many families across the United States, including all genders, ethnic groups and all economic backgrounds every day. Some put on a brave face, for example they may appear friendly and affectionate to their partner and family and they only may be abuse behind closed doors. Also they will try to hide the abuse by causing injuries to themselves. Abuse is not an accident and its not your flout: this abuse does not happen because someone was stressed-out, drinking, or using drugs, it is an intentional act that one person uses in a relationship to control the other. Abusers have learned to abuse, most often they may been abuse themselves either physical, sexual, emotional, or psychological. The abusers often have low self-esteem and do not take responsibility for their actions. They may even blame the victim for causing the …show more content…
What start a person to become violent? Different types of domestic violence in women. Domestic Violence in Women is caused by alike of trust and control. Ladies may not know what they are facing when they get involved in and relationships. A man who has been abuse before are more likely to do the same to their partner. Financial problems can also become a reason spouse or boyfriend can become violent. Not being able to provide for your family can put a strain on a marriage or relationship. Which makes that spouse to become violent. Drug abuse can play a big factor in domestic violence. Drugs is an addition that make you become a different person. Domestic Violence in women has become a big problem. One out of ten women will encounter domestic violence.
