The person is deciding exactly what sensory cues to pay attention to, such as the trajectory of the ball in the air in order to run to the right spot to catch the football. At first, the person trying to catch the ball will have difficulty in judging exactly where the ball will land, but after a few repetitions the student will begin to become better at gaging this. After the set stage, the athlete will then move into the set stage. In this stage, the student will figure out exactly when to get into a ready position, such as when the play starts, or when to set their feet to catch the ball. After this stages comes the guided response stage. In this stage, the athlete will begin listening to the coach and do what they are told. The coach will tell the athlete a technique on how to catch the punt, and the athlete will implement this technique in his play. Once the athlete has progressed out of this stage, the student will be in the mechanism stage. This is where the skill starts to become automatic. The athlete does not have to focus on every aspect of their technique and can do perform with no extraneous thought. The next stage the student will then be in will be the complex overt response stage. This is where the athlete will be able to tell the outcome of their performance almost instantly. The more proficient I become at treating the patients, the more people I can reach my surfaces out to. Also, within the definition of unconscious competent, the unit states that the person will enjoy talking about information. I want my patients to clearly see the passion I have for physical therapy and the wellness of them as an individual. When I can demonstrate my passion for the field of physical therapy on a daily basis, I can achieve success. In order to learn about the human body on an expert level I will need to vigorously pursue higher knowledge. I need to progress from a novice to expert in as many aspects as a health care provider as I can. The moment I become complacent with my current state of knowledge is when I have failed. There is always more information to learn on how the human body works.
In conclusion, the use of many of the models learned throughout the semester can be applied to the profession of physical therapy. When these models are more understood, a physical therapist can more efficiently treat the community they live within and gage the position of a person on a certain topic. The use of inter-professional education can be used to further enhance education, and help me achieve success in my career as a physical
