Personal Narrative: My Experience At Superdome Sports

Superdome Sports is a sporting facility that provides indoor, turf fields to athletes, teams, and children of all ages to play sports and host events. It is a state-of-the-art-facility with over 79,000 square feet located in Waldwick, NJ. There are four indoor, turf fields, a three-lane running track, and an outdoor field. The events that take place at the Superdome include summer camps, classes such as soccer training, all sports, and introductory sports classes, birthday parties, as well as sports teams renting the field space for practices and games. The goal of the organization is to sell the field space to teams and leagues for multiple sessions. Superdome Sports is its own entity, with one enormous facility. You must adapt your plan of action and tailor your reaction to the needs of others. Pressure and stress in the workplace are inevitable, and it is up to you to adapt to those pressures. Before beginning this internship, I did not work well under pressure. However, the skills I gained in customer service and the knowledge I learned about the organization in such a short amount of time has allowed me to undergo any stresses that arise. I now have a better ability to prioritize any tasks that I am assigned. I have also gained skills in teamwork and leadership. Working in a team to accomplish tasks had lead me to grow both as a leader and as a collaborator. I am able to communicate my thoughts and ideas clearly and explicitly to others, resulting in success for the team and organization. I have been able to gain many more skills in marketing, advertising, customer service, and the overall running of a business. These skills will allow me to better my professional development as I can use them in any direction I chose to take. Furthermore, I have learned that networking is one of the most important tools you can use in this industry. Luckily, I have had the opportunity to meet two successful Football players who have offered their help and advice upon my graduation. I will continue to network throughout the year and build on my resume to help lead me to a career that I
