Psychoanalysis defines a system of psychological treatment and therapy in which the main objective is to treat mental disorders by investigating the interaction of conscious and unconscious elements in the mind and bringing repressed fears into the conscious mind. And according to Personality Psychologist Sigmund Freud, it refers to the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders.
Three examples of depressive disorders, also known as DSM-5 depressive disorders, that would be referred to in this study would be MDD, (Major Depressive Disorder), Major Depressive Episodes, and Dysthymic Disorder, also known as the DSM-5 disorders.

Anxious: Involves severely low self-esteem, relentlessness, and high sensitivity to interpersonal rejection. They are help seeking, and they are more likely to be hooked on make lower-lethality suicide attempts. Individuals who suffer from this condition are highly likely to get involved in substance abuse; they tend to rely heavily on benzos, alcohol, marijuana, and opiates for comfort.
2. Asnergic: Involves low energy, anhedonia, and hypersomnia. Individuals with this condition would respond better to treatment with medications that increase dopamine and norepinephrine levels in the brain.
Studies show that approximately 75% of victims of Dysthymic Disorder suffer from at least two Major Depressive Episodes in a short period, known as Double Depression. These patients have linger periods of depression and are less likely to become fully recovered.
Dysthymic disorder differs from a Major Depressive Episode only in the severity, chronicity, and number of symptoms that are milder and fewer, but last longer. And symptoms of this condition may persist in some individuals and not change at all over long time periods; these symptoms may last for 20+ years in some
