The Importance Of Service Dogs

Humans have accomplished many goals through their advancements. People have come to the conclusion that not everything can be done by our own doings, other forms on earth play Dogs have heavily impacted the work forces of our American World. Since the early ages of World War I, Germans implemented War dogs before any other country. The United States had not reverted yet to this form of service in our military's; therefor, the only dogs that were apart of our team were the ones we captured from the opposing sides. By WWII and The Vietnam War, The United States had successfully implemented service dogs. German Shepherds were the primary breed used. According to the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA), the official parent club and “guardian” of the breed in the United States, the very first registered German Shepherd Dog in Germany was a “working sheepherder, requiring no training other than direction and finish to become proficient at the task.” GSDs were prized for their …show more content…
Laws are mandated for certain titles of the dogs. Certain home circumstances showcase the eligibility of a dog in certain homes. Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. (ADA Requirements, U.S. department of Justice) They go through constant training in which will be beneficial for daily tasks in helping humans. Service dogs can aid in navigation for people who are hearing- and visually impaired, assist an individual who is having a seizure, calm an individual who suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and even dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
