I say this because their explanations are generic and therefore in some ways, may not apply to individual cases. I must admit that education has been important to me up to this stage. I would disagree with Rousseau that education should help us lead a virtuous life in an imperfect world (Reisert, 2003). His argument presupposes an accepted standard on what constitutes virtue and vice. However, I would say that education empowers us to make informed choices due to increased self knowledge. The importance of a teacher or a more knowledgeable others have been very important to me to when making choices. One of the important things that I learned when I was growing up is the law of cause and effect. I found that there followed a resultant effect as a result of an action. This effect could be positive or negative. In the process, I learned to discriminate actions according to their resultant effect. I was born and brought in happy family (Newman, P., & Newman, B., 2007). When I was young, I was, and still I am very close to every member of the family. Fathers are sometimes accused of being distant form their kids unlike mothers, but I developed a particularly close relationship with my father. My father would take me out to all those places you hear about, I would even accompany him to meetings. My mother would also take me out to shop and other social places. Back home, I was always playing with my other siblings and neighbors kids. As a result of all this exposure to different people, male or female, strangers and people I knew, my fear for people disappeared. My parent’s deep care and love for me plus my all interactions with the many people I came across sort of put me in sync with
