Astronomy: The Evolution Of Stars

Improved Essays
I look up to the sky and see millions of stars, and I wonder to myself. What makes them light up so bright, and what makes them a star? What does it take to create a star; they just don’t pop out and shine bright. I want to know the process, and how long it takes for a star to be born. I am also curious to know if the star can die. I plan on finding the answer. I believe that they are created by gases and that they die when they use up all of their gases. Stars have had an impact in our society for millions of years. They go all the way back to biblical times, from when God was creating the earth to when the three wise men had to use the North star to get where baby Jesus was being born. In other words, stars have always been mentioned throughout …show more content…
Since they are so many interesting things to see and learn about the universe, astronomers actually go into become specialists in their field work. They mainly focus on star-forming, galaxies, planet , they even try to search for life on other planets. Now the history of astronomy goes way back to the Babylonians (1600 B.C.). They believed that the heavens had the power over all of earth 's existence. Astronomy has one of the most earliest written records of Abstromnimacal observation. Thus being the first science as stated by the History of Astronomy.
One of the first known Astronomers was Galileo, he was known as the father of observational astronomy. He was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa, Italy. He was the first of six children born to Vincenzo Galilei. He was originally a mathematics and physics professor but he also believed in many theories like the Copernican theory that the earth and the planets revolved around the sun. On July, 1609, Galileo had learned about a telescope from Dutch eyeglass and soon right after had decided to develop one of his own. He would use a telescope and show it to merchants who saw its value to spot ships. He quickly started to manufacture them, but Galileo’s ambition would lead him to point his telescope to the heavens. On March, 1610, he would write and publish a book on describing how the moon wasn 't smooth and other things about the other planets. He went on to publish books about

Scientists believe that stars are made of mostly gas, and this gas is made up of many atoms. In the star, the atoms in the gas bang into each other and give off different light depending on the type of atoms. This light from stars enables scientists to figure out the type and amount of atoms they are made of. Knowing the composition of the stars, we can guess how they were formed. Therefore we can see that stars are just atoms (hydrogen) hitting each other producing light.…

Today, we rely on studies from scientists such as Galileo, Kepler and Newton and to understand science a little better we study their classical, as online sources define classical as representing an exemplary standard” as well as “traditional and long-established in form or style” (Google definitions), interpretations.
