If you take time to look around, you will notice that people always appear to be busy. Soccer practices, recitals, jobs and meetings are just a few of a person’s daily obligations. A schedule can be a big help in organizing a person’s time. Schedules help people live a more efficient and productive life. Any free time someone may have available seems to quickly vanish. When we realize that we have free time, we tend to use that time as an opportunity to get more of our responsibilities done, rather than using it for something we will enjoy and find relaxing. If this becomes a habit, our schedules will quickly become jam-packed. If we do not take the opportunity to use our personal time for ourselves, we may quickly burn out and become unhappy.

I am taking 12 credit hours this semester while working 45 hours during the week. My classes are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Monday evenings I attend a group exercise class which is about an hour long (two hours once I include travel). Once a week, on Fridays, I visit the chiropractor to get adjusted. I also workout each day before class. The weekends are my only days off, and they are filled with many To-Do lists. Saturdays are spent catching up on housework that had been neglected during the week and going to the grocery store. Sundays are prep days; I prepare meals for the next week so I don’t have to worry about cooking. Prepping helps alleviate a lot of the stress during the workweek. Having such a busy schedule means I only have the weekends, and a small amount of time during the week, to get homework done. In order for me to complete school assignments and study, it is crucial that I plan it into my weekends. This makes it difficult to find any time to relax or socialize with friends and family.
