“Well, thank you. I don’t think that I have been the same since I left either. The real world is just so miserable, it has kind of thrown me into a state of darkness,” I said staring at my feet hoping that The Keeper wouldn’t ask questions.
“Well, I see that you and The Realm of Sand have a lot in common,” he said. The statement forced me to look back at The Keeper. Noticing my questioning stare he continued. “ You see, Winter, ever since your departure from The Realm of Sand darkness has taken over. Evil lurks around every corner of your once friendly world.”
“I must see this for myself,” I said eagerly. “Will you please take me back with you?”
“Of coarse I will, Winter. But, I have warned you.”
With that The Keeper sauntered over to the other side of the room and collected his smashed hat. He walked to me giving me a questioning glance. I nodded my head in response and without a moments hesitation he flicked his wrist and the hat popped back to its original state. A bright light emitted from the hat and illuminated the room. I then felt a tugging sensation and heard wind rushing past my ears as I was sucked into the hat.
