1.1 INTRODUCTION
Every hotel, motel even a resort need to has a room division. But do you know what about Room division? In fact, room division operations have separate to front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house. Firstly, front-of-the-house is the area where the guest and the employees meet and interact directly such as front office, restaurant, even is lounges. Second, back-of-the-house is like behind the screen, and guests will less meet the employees who work back-of-the-house. For example, housekeeping, engineering and so on. In short, room division plays an important role in hotel. The product can separate to tangible and intangible. Tangible is a thing that can recognizable by touch such as beds, land, inventory and so on. In other hand, an intangible is an asset that cannot perception by touch like service, attitude and etc. Front office, there are always gather the incoming and outgoing guests and the employees will check in or check out for the guests. Then, front desk usually through the room sales to produce the greatest income in the hotel. Housekeeping, the housekeepers are in charge of the cleanliness of the premises. They not only need to ensure everywhere and everything clean but hygiene. They need make sure the rooms in hotel are ready for sale. Security department also a part of room division. The main task for them is to ensure the safety of guests and of course the employees. They need to observe everyone who suspicious and to be …show more content…
Firstly, Front desk. The responsible of front desk is to let guests get information clearly and quickly. The employees must greet the guests with smile rather than just check in for them when the guests arrive to reception and preparing to check in or check out. Next, the employee needs to enquire the Last name of the guests to make sure the information correct. Then, the employee need to search the reservation and print the registration card out. Front desk need to complete the process quickly and without any wrong is because need let the guests get their rooms and let them have a rest after a long time flight. Second, I write about housekeeping. The housekeeper need to make sure the guests room is tidy, cleanly, and hygiene. They need to clean up the everywhere of the room such as washroom, floor, bed and so on. Apart from cleaning, they need to change everything that has been used by the guests before. They need to wipe and disinfect every little thing in the room and ensure there is no dust. The task of housekeeper is to ready the rooms and let guests have a nice stay in the hotel and creating a sign of relaxing to show them the rooms as their home sweet home.

The guests expectation to the hotel is depend from themselves. For those who had experience before, they might have a higher expectation. In other hand, for those who never stay in hotel before, they do not know the actual service or facilities that
