First, Juliet's parents really push her to marry Paris. For example, Lord Capulet tells Juliet she can't stay in his house unless she marries Paris (3. 5. 189-195). Juliet finds this troubling because she is already married to Romeo and it is against her beliefs to be divorced or married to more than one man at a time, and sh'es already married to Romeo. "Is she a Capulet? / O dear account! My life is my foe's debt"(1. 5. 116-117). We can see that because of the feud, Romeo thought it was the end of the world that his love was a Capulet. This also shows that there wouldn't have been any need for the secrecy without the feud. Without the the Capulet's wouldn't have pushed Paris on Juliet and no one would have died if the couple just felt comfortable enough to be honest about their relationship. Another example of this was when the families were talking at the end and they called Romeo and Juliet " Poor sacrifices of our enmity!"(5. 5. 304) In this quote, the young couple has just died, and their love was discovered.
