The Romantics brought the human body and emotions to life. Instead of keeping such a vague story behind their artwork they became more creative. The use of literature being presented in their painting to simple gestures to represent love. The Romantics brought concept of the forbidden actions to the public; which is consider revolutionary. This change the view of art and how we look art our daily lives. By showcasing ones love within a painting, it shows that art comes in many forms and not just those that recite on biblical stories or simply landscaping. Ground breaking art that was fun to observe and had bold story behind what was created by the artists themselves. The Romantics allow one to see that any simple thing within daily lives in be shown enjoyable and view as a spectator. With this setting as a new ground it created was for other arts forms to diverge and others to become more innovated then before. Not only did their form of art look realistic it was real. Photography was very revolutionary, capturing the very moment and able to keep in still frame. This new way of art was not only a tool of beauty but also a way to tell time and how the world around that particular age was like. It’s amazing how far art has come and the amount of technical skill can be developed during each time period. Went from sketches to sculptures to realistic portraits to digital photographs of the 19th and 20th century. When an artist angle it’s camera he can then achieve the same looks as some one who were to paint the images they see. Using such skills in photography was a greater way to mark that particular decade. Keeping documentation became easily done then before. It was insight of the moment, keeping history in line. Such as in Jacob Riis, a photographer who was able to capture real life situation within the cities. He was an artist that was able to capture every day livelihood with his photographs. With his concept he was able to compare and contrast the difference onto how people lived. For an example, “How the other Half lives”. Within this photographs there are three young children who within the city streets shoeless and bundle up with each other to keep warm. He shows that not everybody is fortunate but the same time a unity bond between the three children. He wasn’t afraid to leave his work the way it is for the public.
