Retail marketing strategy refers to the statement which helps to identify the retailer’s target market, and how retailer plan to satisfy the customer need. Marketing strategy combines the four piece of market mix. The marketing mix is consists of the price, product, promotion and the place.The retail marketing strategy is mainly designed to meet the market by providing the value to the customer. The retail marketing strategy must be outline first in any retail business, and effective or the strong strategy will lead the business to success.

Their way of giving back to the community shows that they also care about the community and people with need which shows that they are loyal to citizen. They sells the apparel of different kind of brands, and designer. They are always aware of their competitors. Customers are now able to order products online and pick up at the store, or have them deliver it at home, these uniqueness of target has influenced a customer buying behaviors. To compare target with other retailer, their pricing strategy does seems to below the market since they are also known as discount store. However, the walmart still is number one retailers because their store are larger in size as well as they gives everyday low price to customer. Even though target have most effective marketing strategy than other retailers, I felt like they need to enlarge the stores by adding more fashionable brand in apparel. The walmart have some dining option inside the store, but target does not. It could have beneficial to target retailer if they provides the dining shops inside their store. The Cuyahoga Target store need to understand that the Staples is most popular on selling the office and school supply and that is located near their store so it might be advantageous to them to invest less in school product because as a student I prefer to shop in staple for the school and office supply more than in target because every related supplies can be found in staple more accurately than in the
