Tragedy about Heroes
Fighting for something or someone you believe ranges from unbearable like when you stand utterly alone to simplistic like the moments when others fight with you. Regardless we share our true colors and ideals in the midst of hardship. Those moments define character for instance I refused to passively sit back during any hardship whether it be friends or family. As much as I have been hurt by the ordeals that I have gone through they also offered insight and perspective. There is one moment that sticks out among all of them that is the Buddz’s arson case.
The Buddz’s arson case began back in early May of 2013 with the actual fire of Buddz’s. It took almost a year later before she was charged, and the worst part was that I was only fourteen. She got convicted when I was fifteen and received a twenty-five year sentence that has no mandatory minimum meaning should could be paroled at anytime.. That happened two and a half years ago and it still continues to haunt me till this day. However there is one that sticks out among all the rest I do not even remember who said “It’s good your mom is in jail. If you get caught you get punished”. Out of all the terrible mom jokes, terrified or hateful glares, and outright hateful words spoken towards me that one sticks out the most because of the outright contempt and casualness it was said with. It was just natural to that person as if my presence didn’t even matter because I was just that insignificant. Situations like that one are rare as very few are brave or terrible enough to insult me to my face, but they still happen which should never happen to another person ever. The audacity of people here is extraordinary as I literally think I might have heard almost all of the terrible mom
