Training is the systematic development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by an individual to perform adequately a given task or jobs. Training can involve learning of various kinds and in various situations i.e. on the job, off the job, in the company or outside the company. This study is based on “A STUDY ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT IN THIRU AROORAN SUGARS LIMITED”. The Training is becoming increasingly important, especially with regards to critical technical skills. The organisation can allocate huge sums of money in its budgetary allocation towards training of employees to build the capacity of employees to perform their job functions effectively. So, the effectiveness of training is very important.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
To study the impact of demographic factors towards training practices of organisation.
To study about the various training methods followed in TASL.
To study about various training programmes and practices in TASL.
To suggest suitable recommendations based on the study.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY: ‘A STUDY ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT IN AROORAN SUGARS PRIVATE LIMITED,THIRUMANDANGUDI,TANJAVUR(DT)’.The organisation is located in Tirumandangudi village, is about 48km from Thanjavur and 8km from Kumbakonam near Swamymalai. Tirumandangudi unit have 200 permanent employees, 300 seasonal employees and addition to that they also have 70 contracts laborers. The study period was March, April 2014.
