1. What assignments would you most like to practice in the future (review the list of assignments and list at least three)?
After reviewing the list of assignments, I’ve decided that the three assignments I would most like to practice in the future are Finding Flow, Savoring, and Gratitude Expression.
• I chose the Finding Flow assignment because it 's important to become fully immersed in an activity to control my stress levels. I can incorporate this into my self-care routine.
• I chose the Savoring assignment because it’s easy to forget to take the time to fully appreciate the things in life.
• I chose the Gratitude Expression assignment because it’s uplifting to tell people how grateful you are for them and why.

I’ll feel nervous because this is a huge step toward independence. To ease my nerves, I can use the Finding Flow assignment because it 's important to become fully immersed in an activity to control the unpleasant feelings that I’ll most likely have. For example, nervousness and uncertainty. In addition to using the Finding Flow assignment, I can remember the four benefits of perseverance. One benefit that I would keep in mind during this period of adjustment is that perseverance can enhance my sense of self-efficacy, but I must be willing to face the possibility of setbacks. I know that I’ll come up with reasons as to why I should continue to live with my parents, but that wouldn’t be beneficial for me because I need to know what it’s like to have my own living space. Regardless of my opposition, I need to be persistent in my decision to move out. Since I hope to remain close friends with certain people who are currently in my life, I can utilize the Gratitude Expression assignment to let them know that I appreciate them. It’s not easy for me to remove people from my life, despite how toxic they are. To ensure that I’m effectively coping with the process of weeding toxic people out of my life, I can use narrative psychology. Narrative psychology emphasizes the importance of talking and writing about things that are stressful. Instead of attempting to keep the difficulties that I experience a secret, I can be open and honest about them, either by writing about them or speaking about them. There’s no doubt that there’s a lot of stress associated with working on obtaining a doctorate degree. To effectively deal with this stress, I can remember the four ways to increase the love of learning. I already know why I’m interested in becoming a psychiatrist, so I can keep that in mind to increase my love of learning. I value learning about mental health and mental

For this journal entry, I picked a video from Playlist 2 called, “How to make stress your friend.” I chose this video because I thought it was relatable since I am now a college student who experiences stress on a daily basis. I thought that watching this video could give me some insight on how to handle stressful situations and maybe give me some positive encouragement and/or motivation. This speech was given by Kelly McGonigal who starts off her speech by stating that she has a confession to make. Before stating her confession, she asks the audience who all experiences stress, whether it is high levels or stress of moderate levels of stress.…

The first concept that I learned in this book called “creation health discovery” written by Des Cummings JR. is that you must relax before bedtime. At first, this didn’t make any sense to me because most of the time when I am about to sleep, I get stressed on what might happen the next day. Even though this happens, I am still able to get 7- 8 hours, but I would still question myself on why am I stil sleepy in some of my classes. What I realized was, if you do a daily devotional or read a book two hours before you sleep, then you will sleep even more efficiently than you would if you were doing school work or watching t.v.. The second concept that I learned in this book was to invest in friendships.…

Reflecting upon the course, I have learned quite an extensive amount about different ways of being creative. I have never really been a creative individual, but this course has really helped me branch out from my comfort zone and learn different ways to be creative. I have learned about my creative process by engaging in the activities and reflections related to the personal creativity log, as well as other course material by concentrating on what I would create for each activity. Learning about my personal creative process was interesting and important to me because it is easy for someone to create something, but when it is something that you have personally created, it means more to you. The personal creativity log activity or reflection most resonated with me and was the most fun to me was creating the jars.…
