Critical success factors are said to be an element or factor that a company or organization utilizes for their success. In this case we asked “What are the critical success factors of social media?". When asked this question you first have to analyze on “What do people like about social media?”. To find out the answer to this question out group surveyed the question "what do you like most about social media." From this the results said that majority of the people said they like to network and talk with friends. The first hypothesis stated that social media has positive motives but addictive tendencies. When we conducted our survey there was a huge percentage of people that voted social media was addictive. Also, throughout the research we saw that many people voted that social media do have positive outlets such as: allowing you to communicate with friends & stranger, allowing businesses to advertise their products to younger customers, & also give you freedom to voice your opinions. These outlets also help people get a source of entertainment which is high upon society's priorities nowadays.
Moreover, the second hypothesis stated that social media creates negative energy for young people. This basically means that social media can be a distraction to young people causing them to lose out on things such as school work or jobs. In our survey we conducted we asked people do they think social media can be a distraction and the majority responded yes. This goes to show that people realize how social media is a distraction but still choose to use
