Disadvantages Of Programming Language

Twelve years back, when I started my career as a software engineer, I remember reading only books to learn Oracle and Java. The books were Java: The Complete Reference and Oracle Complete Reference. Those were heavy, had at least 600-700 pages - filled with theories ranging from ACID theorem to dry explanation of object oriented programming like class inheritance, overloading, encapsulation etc. It needed immense amount of motivation not to give up. But as it was my first job and I had a student loan to pay off, I somehow managed to do stay on track and learned Oracle. After 12 years when I am again in the beginning phase in learning Python, I find the way of learning a new programming language has changed a lot. There are many different new resources – innovative, engaging, different approach - to help learning a new programming language, that …show more content…
Someone who wants to learn Python (or any programming language), he/she should go to all these three resources together to get the best out of each. There are many educational resources like edx.org or Coursera, which gives similar environments where someone can watch videos, read transcripts, and also practice in an interactive learning environment and do hands. So essentially, I think they have taken the best out of all these resources and is a very good way of learning a new programming language. I completed the Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) in Coursera and found it very engaging. It had weekly deadlines, had a forum to interact with other students, and also had an option to meet the professor face-to-face. Though these are all good to get started with Python, but I strongly think it’s important to have some work experience on some real-life project to gain professional level expertise in Python or any other programming

During this semester I personally contributed to my overall success in the PTAP 2310 class by studying consistently and coming prepared to class. I found that having previously read the chapter and notes, I was able to further understand what Dr. Amite was teaching. This also proved to be beneficial if I had trouble understanding a portion of the chapter I could come with questions. I entered this class knowing that my performance and understanding of the information relied heavily on my entrance into the PTA program. Becoming a PTA is so important to me that it kept me driven to have a complete understanding of the material, even when it was most difficult.…

Before taking music 111, I only know little about music with few preconceptions. First preconceived idea which I hold was players who can play by ear are naturally genius or just a special gift. However, from the lecture, “Oral Tradition” and Lilliestam’s article I got the idea how the players can play by ear. In his article, "On Playing By Ear", Lars Lilliestam compared music to spoken language. He described as if we learn a variety of phrases, we can use the language in certain situation.…
