My country is Mexico. Luckily, my family and I are from Mexico. Except I was born in the United States. Mexico took it’s freedom from Spain in the year 1821. That starts our trip.
Spain took over Mexico in 1500. The people of Mexico called the new land “New Spain”. Spain took the people of the land, Mayas and Aztecs, into slavery. There was a man named Father Hidalgo,Father of the nation, who helped begin the revolution. Many people agreed with Father Hidalgo, he lead about 90,000 men from all over “New Spain” to battle against Spain.The Mexico won it’s independence from Spain in September 16,1810. Many people think that Mexico’s independence day is on May 5th, but May 5th is really just the date of an important battle that lead Mexico to it’s freedom. May 5th was the battle of Puebla. Every 6 years the people will elect the next president.In the 1876 Mexico has its first and only dictator, Jose de la Cruz Porfirio Diaz Mori. Porfirio stayed in power for 35 years from the years 1876 to 1911. After 35 years the government decided to make Most of the people of Mexico would agree when I say that the Mexican Government has a corrupted system. The government has some people that are trying to clean out the people that have been bought out from the drug lords.
Mexico doesn 't have a great economy. Most of the people that live in Mexico now, are not rich. Most of the country , has people dying because the government doesn 't have the money to feed the people. Many families send the male of the house to cross the border, into the United States. The male was sent here so he will work and send his family back in Mexico money. The money sent back home will feed the family, pay bills, pay for the children 's school. The government charges $1,000 a year for every child to go to school. In the year 1998, the government brought in only $415
