The first stage of the PDSA cycle begins with PLAN. In this stage of the cycle organizations are required to ask questions that give an accurate description of the solution(s). The second stage DO is where the organization itself carries out the plan(s), intervention(s), and test(s) outlined in the first stage. It becomes very important within this stage that organizations document problems and changes to show results of implementation. The STUDY stage allows leadership to analyze its finding from data recorded in the second stage in hopes to reveal lessons learned and expectations.
