The pain he feeling inside is just another aspect of his life and he prefers to stay isolated by not brothering anyone with talking about it. For instance, Pink mentions, “this is not how I am,” lying both to himself and the doctor, in hopes of them leaving him alone. In “The Wall” album, Pink shows how he overcomes this certain feeling from his past, and with hopes of persuading a simpler, happier life by releasing those raw emotions. The doctor talking back to Pink, mentions, “That’ll keep you going through the show,” after injecting him with a medicine and the word “show” symbolizes life. In life, we can go into the world, giving off a certain image of ourselves, without it actually being us. Certain drugs can blind our inner thoughts, and temporary make us feel “normal.” Time is another big concept, throughout the song, time is brought to the attention by reminiscing of when he was a child. “Come on, it’s time to go,” helps us understand that time is always running and we cannot always hind from our problems but we must overcome them
