The circulatory system is the system that transports nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormone. It also helps fight disease, maintain body temperature, pH, and homeostasis. There are two systems that make up the circulatory system which are the cardiovascular system and the lymphatic system. The circulatory system moves blood through the body and is made up of the heart, blood vessels and the blood. The lymphatic system moves lymph to various parts of the body and is formed by the lymph, lymph vessels and the lymph nodes. One of the largest functions of the circulatory system is to transport oxygen and remove carbon dioxide. All cells of the body need oxygen to stay alive. When food is absorbed in the bloodstream, the blood absorbs glucose into the liver. The liver, a solid organ, is the primary delivery source of glucose. Other nutrients and energy sources are sent through the body through the bloodstream in the same way that oxygen is delivered. Blood can then absorb waste and transport them to the excretory organs, which include the kidneys and liver. The circulatory system also help control hormones. Hormones help the body through chemical signals that control various things. These can be things such as metabolism, reproduction, and growth. They are made in different places of the body, usually the brain or the liver, and moved by the cardiovascular system to relay the information to that part of the …show more content…
The electrocardiogram plays an important role with identifying patients who have cardiovascular risks and can benefit from having routine electrocardiogram readings. This could help with preventative cardiac problems with these patients. This article could also help with asymptomatic patients by using a noninvasive method before the need of surgery with the help of medications. The electrocardiogram can also benefit the risk/reward of exercise in athletes.
