When I began this assignment, I had completed a personality test several years ago. This time I was identified as personality type ESFP (Extrovert, Sensible, Feeling, Perceiving) (Pearson Assessment). Earlier in the course I was identified as ENFJ (Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging), which is different but we will use this assignment based on the results given from the Assessment. I believe that based on certain situations and the level to which each trait will change. There was not much that I would say was learned from a personality insight, as I’ve always known myself to be a good-natured, talkative, secure, and intellectual person who is a strong type B personality. I was surprised to learn that I did not score high on trusting others, but others view me as being trustworthy. My trust level is always the same with others but it will increase or decrease based on experiences with an individual. The assessment did point out I have some deficiencies with disciplining others. I struggle with this because I feel if we are all adult, who have been provided the employee handbook, and then we should always be professional. My tolerance for individuals not being accountable for their own actions is very low. Good personal …show more content…
An organic organization structure is flexible and team-oriented, while a mechanistic structure is rule-oriented and highly formulated (Pearson Assessment). I would say my preference would be determined based on the type of organization, goals, and culture.
Careers
My commitment to stay with an organization is a strength, which would allow me to match an organization that I would find job satisfaction. I scored high on organizational culture and commitment for careers. My current job allows for a very low level of work/family conflict. The only issue is that no matter what day the 1st of the month falls on I have to work. It’s one of the responsibilities of working in the Accounting Department. What this assessment did confirm is my ease of being managed. When I have a great manager, it is easy to be managed. True

After answering a series of questions, the results are compiled to determine if the person is sensing (S) or intuitive (I) , thinking (T) or feeling (F), introverted (I) or extroverted (E), judging (J) or perceiving (P). With the fore mentioned possible trait combinations, there are sixteen personality types possible. The test concluded that I could be four of the personality types due to the extremely slight percentage difference within two of the traits. After completing the Jung Typology Test, I found out that my personality type is ENFP which stands for extravert, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving. I am actually very happy with my personality results because they were very accurate with how I think I am as a person. My results show that I am an extravert and I agree because I definitely feel energized when I am with people because I can connect with others and share my interests and feelings with them. I am happiest when I can spend time with my friends and family and just talk about everything that comes to mind. My results also show that I am an intuitive person which means that I perceive information by using what my gut tells me.…

The first, as already mentioned, is whether the individual is extroverted or introverted (E or I). The second category is based on the individual’s way of obtaining information, whether through sensing or intuition (S or N). The third examines if the individual makes decisions through thinking or through feeling (T or F). The last category is judging verses perceiving (J or P), where the individual’s lifestyle is either organized or flexible (Mitchell, 1996). The participant is then given one of sixteen personality ‘types’.…

Assessment one “My Basic Personality” showed that I was indeed an ENTJ. Those of the ENTJ personality type are born leaders. They can become frustrated and impatient when things don’t unfold according to their expected plan or time frame, evoking notions of the “Type-A” personality (Drenth, n.d.). Assessment two “Ambiguity” showed me something new about myself. Having intolerance of ambiguity means that you tend to perceive situations as threatening rather than promising (Robbins, 2008).…
