Personal Narrative: My First English Essay

My First English Essay This is my first essay in this class and its nerve wrecking. The fact that it counts so much as a grade makes me sweat. I 'll tell you some of the techniques I use that helped me write this essay. Like what made it easier for me to write it, or how I composed the essay, and what helped when I got writers block. I don’t have a favorite place where I write or a special technique. I am not the type to sit down in a desk and have my paper and my pen in front of me or or line the pencils in a straight line. When I write, like for this assignment I use my laptop. I will put my laptop on my lap and turn the music on the background, usually Pandora. This helps me concentrate …show more content…
I use a note pad app on my phone and when I remember something during the day and I don’t have paper and pencil I just type it on the app. I use Microsoft Word Processor on my laptop to write this essay. Word Processor helps check your spelling. Another action is it helps make it easy to click on an icon to change the style of the words or the size of the front and even apply the information on the heading. With paper and pen if you make a mistake you would have to cross out the information and rewrite it all over again. With Microsoft Word Processor you can move sentences around by clicking copy and paste to where your want. Even copy and paste a whole paragraph. Getting started with this essay was very hard for me. I had a hard time with the introduction paragraph. I wrote all of my essay first. Then I went back and then tried to cross things out and add new sentences. When it becomes hard to read because you corrected and added sentences then I number the paragraphs and the paragraphs that I cross more things out in in I just rewrite it. If I think two paragraphs need to go together I number them both with the same number. My system seems to work out pretty good to me but to someone else they might have a hard time following

I would fix this by going back to make a Tiqa Tiqa and organize my body paragraphs before starting. Taking notes is never an exciting task, but since it’s forced upon us, it’s been facilitated to help future generations be as successful as possible. With these new accommodations, come options such as computers, notebooks, tablets, and videotaping. While studies have shown that more information is retained when writing by hand, I believe that typing notes saves time in order to write to most possible to be able to go back and reread and study. The most crucial step of my writing processes is letting my mind go wild and my fingers move freely. Whenever I write anything, I always let myself write whatever is on my mind at that exact second. Even if it doesn’t make 100% sense or isn’t exactly on topic, I’ll type it out. When I was writing my essay, I didn’t stop to fix anything until the very end. When I finished writing, I looked for mistakes.…
