Obama created Obamacare to make it affordable for people that make low income. Other health care insurance companies charge much more comparing it to Obamacare. In the article “Health Insurance Premium Jump 50%” written by Glenn Kessler shows how the cost of health insurance would be able to go down. “The cost of health insurance would go down in price by 56 to 59 percent. (Kessler)” not only Obamacare is able to make sure that everyone gets health insurance but as well as into reducing the price of it by a lot. Some health insurance like to make people pay more than what they are needed to pay for and usually they don’t check their income. “ACA helps people by not being hurt by other health insurance companies that rise the cost for no reason. “...Conservatives have criticized Obamacare for its own ostensible excesses - namely too much government, too much interference with the market, and too much restriction of individual liberty” (Oberlander 432). Individuals who earn a good amount of money are often taxed a bit more so that they can help those who need help, this again is sometimes seen as a violation of their rights. “Americans take pride in their strong work ethic and prize the value of self-sufficiency. Obamacare will upend health insurance coverage for millions (“Losing Health..” 1-2). Obamacare allows Americans to stay with whichever insurance provider they choose; however, the insurance plan must meet the requirements that Obamacare mandated. The Obama Administration set regulations stating that other insurance plans cannot be used if there is “an increase in co-payments of more than $5, or an increase in the employee’s share of premiums paid by more than 5 percent” (1-2). Americans who rely on themselves to purchase health insurance tend to seek out economical insurance plans because they are living paycheck to paycheck just like millions of other Americans. These economical plans to do not meet the mandated requirements of the Obama Administration, so this has directly led to a 20% drop in insurance coverage for Americans(1-2).…

The Un-Affordable Health Care Plan The Affordable Care Act is a universally mandated act that allows for every citizen of the United States to obtain healthcare at a low and affordable price (Obamacare Facts). It was created mainly to help the lower class and those who could not afford the kind of health care available at that time. This can seem to be a great way to boost the unfortunate; but with it comes the countless disadvantages and unmoral regulations. The unconstitutional values of Obama’s Affordable Care Act infringes on basic human rights written in the U.S Constitution, and forces taxpayers to pay for the inhumane procedure that leaves around 1.5 million people dead each year (CDC). America is, and always has been known as the melting pot (Joyce Millet).…

To make health care more affordable in the United States, the legislation includes new benefits, rights and protections, rules for insurance companies, taxes, tax breaks, and funding (Affordable Care Act Summary). I believe that the Affordable Care Act, also referred to as Obamacare, is beneficial for Americans of the middle class. With the Republic party looking to repeal the ACA in 2017, one can realize the benefits the legislation had on the upper-middle class, middle-middle class, and lower-middle class Americans.…

Since the law came in effect for the Obama care that it is required to be covered under an insurance plan or face penalties when filing tax returns. Going into this I thought this was going to be a good thing for all individuals who need insurance but overall it has only helped the super poor who are not able to afford insurance. In some ways I think it’s a good thing that it is helping people with medical assistance. I do like that it does help people that are in special need of it and not able to work that this is assistance that they can get. But what I do not like about it is the cost that of health insurance.…

How is it fair that this new health care plan is geared towards people who have lower paying jobs or even people with no jobs, and penalize those who are making decent wages? Obamacare should help all of the American population, not just the ones without enough money. People that are earning decent paychecks work hard to make their money and shouldn’t be penalized by extreme taxation to pay for people who aren’t working as hard. The ACA is working the way it was designed to, but at what cost? Since the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010, over 23 million people have been given health insurance with the help of Medicare and Medicaid (Kolhatker 2).…

As stated earlier, in 2008, almost forty-six million Americans did not have health insurance (Auerbach 1). Those who support Obamacare declare that this is unacceptable. They believe that Obamacare is valuable because it mandates coverage for every man, woman and child in the United States. Healthy people are massively affected by this mandate because they do not need health care, and now are required to pay for it in order to help insure forty-six million Americans who cannot afford it. Supporters of the Affordable Care Act are blind to the fact that forcing the people of America to buy health care is actually harmful.…

The Three-Legged Stool Obamacare is built around what is commonly referred to as the “three-legged stool”. The first leg tackles price discrimination in the non-group insurance market. Limits are imposed on insurance providers, establishing how prices of non-group insurance can vary from person to person. Prices can be affected by age and smoking status. However, restricting insurance companies from price discriminating will impose a problem in itself, as insurers will simply increase prices to account for free riders (people who purchase insurance when they are in need only) or just secede from providing insurance at all.…
