Currently, health care system is complex and very different from old days. Health care needs have changed because of numerous reasons for example; growing population with elderly people, new technology, increase reliance on drugs, growth of allied health care professions mounting health insurance cost and chronic health condition. Because of multiple reasons affordable health care was established to resolve the challenges. Institute of Medicine (IOM) demands on nurses to take a bigger role in this complex healthcare system in United State. It is essential for nurses to attain requisite competencies to deliver high quality care. And also to take leadership role in all setting to meet the demand of this transforming health care system. More job opportunities will be available in different area of nursing. Besides hospital nurses can work variety of other health care settings are for example; private clinic, outpatient centers, nursing homes, hospices, mental health clinics, school home health and government agency. In the future if I want job at community setting, I can provide service like disease preventive, education and case management. BSN degree formulates for bigger roles inside healthcare setting. In community, the mainly focus area will be preventive, health maintenance, health promotion and chronic disease management. There will be many job opportunities are available like; public health nurse, advance practice nurses, clinical nurse specialist etc. These nurses can provide primary and acute care to the patient in the community. There are growing demand for teachers in nursing program at colleges for new generation nurses. Teaching position usually require clinical experience and masters degree. BSN will open my road to continue my education further. The moral responsibility of health professional is to provide safe, high quality care based on acceptable scientific outcomes. Therefore, to keep upgrade and sell myself for new job market, I have to advance my education further more, involved in professional organization, develop leadership role and communication skills
