These events sometimes help to contribute to emotional, social and physical development also. As for me, I have benefited tremendously from non-normative life events. I have not lost a parent or experienced any life threatening illnesses, but I have benefited immensely from my other’s advancement in her career as a teacher. I got to enjoy some of the finer things in life, travel and meet people of different races and culture. this helped me to develop socially and emotionally. Technology has taken over certain aspects of our lives, which forces the mass of people to become supercilious. I believe my children will become more reliant on technology to communicate and interact with each other as oppose to face-to-face meeting. This will become the “norm” and so physical emotions will be minimal in its existence. This change in technology will benefit the young generation and older folks will definitely get lost in the translation. As more and more they refer to themselves as being old school or old fashion or just simply incapable of adapting to what seems to be inevitable. Personally, I am right in the gateway of these changes, which doesn’t really affect me. I am physically and technologically stable and can adjust either
