Nature vs. Nurture Chapter Three the convenient jingle by Matt Ridley

This paper talks about how a geographer named Francis Galton created a debate about nature vs. nurture and how for example twins no matter the gender, will do exactly the same thing as each other and he debated whether it was nature or nurture. nurture are most often wrong when they disapproving one another’s theory’s. Galton talks about the strength of genes and nature and how it factors into us being human. But is certainly wrong to believe nurture doesn’t play a huge role. Even though Galton believes nature forms us and gives people different abilities to do certain things, nurture is what makes genetics strong and forms people as individuals and also helps them learn and mature thought out their years.

In conclusion Galton was wrong in comparing nature and nurture. Also, trying to make nature vs. nurture become rivals. Nature was not the only thing that makes us human. Combining the two makes us human and become our own individual. Nurture matters up till people feel as if they shouldn’t need guidance. An individual can turn there genetics on or off and become independent and form their own characteristics on their own time.
