Global Warming And Possible Solutions

Improved Essays
Possible Solutions:
It is important to understand that there is no one solution to global warming. A variety of strategies must be used in order to efficiently reduce greenhouse gas emission and resolve global warming over a long period of time.
Boosting energy efficiency: The energy used to power, heat, and cool our homes is one of the largest causes of global warming. New energy efficiency technologies provide us with the ability to use less energy to get the same result. This approach has enormous potential to save energy, and can be implemented extremely quickly.
Greening transportation: Emissions from the transportation sectors have increased at the fastest rate when compared with all other energy-using sectors over in the past decade. In order to resolve this problem, we have a large number of possible solutions available to us. One of the main solution possibilities is improving efficiency of all mass transportation systems.
Using more renewable sources of energy: Renewable energy sources such as solar energy and bio-energy are available all around the world in many countries. Large numbers of studies have shown that renewable energy sources have

According to recent studies conducted by the UN, recent world population projections indicate that by 2050 the world population will be a total of 9.7 billion (Bernstein, 2016). China and India are the two largest countries in the world, each with more than 1 billion people, representing 19% and 18% of the world’s population, respectively (Bernstein, 2016). Africa has the highest rate of population growth, and will account for more than half of the world’s population growth between 2015 and 2050. By 2050, six countries are expected to exceed a population of 300 million including; China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the USA (Hongbo,

The current world population is a constraining 7 billion people, and shows no signs of slowing down. Amidst the growing population rises an issue, which can no longer be over looked. The population is not scattered uniformly across the globe, there are different concentrations of population in different places. However, some are comparable in size. Just like human characteristics, there are characteristics for all countries that can be scrutinized.…

There are simple things you can easily do to reduce global warming: 1. Rely more on renewable sources of energy instead of non-renewable ones, e.g. solar energy, hydroelectricity, wind energy, geothermal . 2. Try to recycle, reuse, and reduce more often: recycle your waste, reuse materials you have at home, and reduce the amount of waste you produce every day. 3.…

To begin, animal population is very important to us humans meanwhile lots of animals and plants are undergoing extinction due to the cause of climate change. These events are most likely occurring because of inaccurate behavior of humans, causing temperatures to rise and lots of greenhouse emission to be released quicker than nature can put it out in a natural occurrence. This process is known as global warming ,making it less efficient for humans and animals to live safely in their environment and habitats. This life threatening event is causing animals to go extinct, humans to have worse weather conditions such as stronger hurricanes and severe heat waves. 2000 species of animals and plants discovered to be making movements towards the poles at an average rate of 3.8 miles per decade.…

THE GREENHOUSE GASES TRAP HEAT AND INCREASE THE CLIMATE CHANGE Exposition The climate of this planet is constantly changing and evolving. The present average annual temperature is approximately as low as 59 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit. The other types of resources suggest that today’s 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit is much warmer than the past temperature periods.…

Do Solar Covers Really Work? Solar energy is increasing in popularity lately, especially when you consider the high cost of heating with electrical energy. Solar power comes from eliciting the sun rays to a silicon panel which transforms the sunlight into heat or energy. If you are thinking about purchasing a solar cover or a solar blanket, you should know a couple of things first.…

These transportation systems would cut down on emission and would be an overall cheaper alternative to driving your own vehicle. Development of electricity fuel busses or trains can also diminish emission levels greatly. An alternative to this might be brining back the “Cash for Clunkers” program. The “Cash for Clunkers” is a car buyback program, which targets cars that emit large amounts of smog into the air. The program offers you a voucher to trade in your vehicle in order to purchase a newer vehicle.…

Because of their low cost and flexibility, vehicles overwhelmingly dominate the markets for passenger and freight transport throughout the developing world. Today’s on-road vehicles produce over a third of the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide in our atmosphere; and over twenty percent of the global warming pollution. Carbon emissions from the burning of gasoline to power cars, trucks, and other methods of transportation is one of the biggest cause of global warming. Pollution created by cars and light trucks accounts for nearly one-third of American carbon emission, and emissions of carbon dioxide from airplanes is responsible for an additional 3.5 percent of global warming. There is definitely an approach to reduce greenhouse gas emission standards through enforcing stricture regulations, but I believe there is another solution that is feasible in the next 5-10 years.…

Electric Cars These cars are powered by electricity, they are rechargeable. EV’s are environmental friendly because they don’t burn fuel at all, meaning no bad air. These vehicles are energy efficient because ev’s convert from about 59%-62% of the electrical energy and gasoline cars convert from about 17%-21% of the energy stored. It also has performance benefits, for example, ev’s provide smooth and stronger motors, it also requires less maintenance meaning saving money on oil changes and etc… They reduce energy dependence because electricity is a domestic energy.…

    3. Personal Bias Growing up in the Monterey County, I was always around passionate environmentalists who abided by a simple rule: keep the Earth clean. Being presented to this mindset at a young age sparked my interest and curiosity about the world and its environment. From then on I remembered turning off water and the lights when it was not necessary and unplugging plugs from their outlets when idle. From a young age, I have always agreed with the ideas of using clean energy sources and hearing about the use of solar and wind energy from the people around me, I ultimately came up with my own personal opinion on these renewables.…

While those living in more developed nations simply have to turn the faucet handles when they want drinking water or to wash our clothes, for countless of millions more worldwide, this simple act often turns into an ordeal. As such, world organizations from several developed and undeveloped nations convened recently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to identify and target the five most urgent needs currently found in every third world nation--be it Latin America, Africa or elsewhere. Our article below lists them as being drinking water, food supplies, energy sources--renewable or sustainable, infrastructure development and a viable health care system. Although the challenges are formidable, solutions do exist at either a beginning phase or a more advanced stage.…

Perhaps the most consequential characteristic of this is the continual use of dwindling energy sources that aversely affect humanity and all living creatures on a global scale in spite of the fact that there are a copious amount of cleaner and renewable energy sources out there who’s only byproduct is a better Earth; as such, it is becoming poignantly clear that Fossil fuels are not only diminishing, but harming the environment as well and alternative energy sources must be explored in order to counteract this. One expanse of energy that has not yet been fully explored is the ocean. Waves in the ocean create a…
