Reflection Paper On Theology

Prior to beginning Theology 201 this semester, I did not have a deep theological understanding of God or His Word. Although I acquired a basic foundation of theology throughout my personal devotional time, and my pre-requisite classes such as Biblical Worldview, Old and New Testament Survey, this course established deeper roots in my theological understanding, which will continue to grow over the course of my education and throughout life. From the beginning of this semester, I have developed a greater understanding of God regarding His character, power, and desire to personally know me as His daughter. Over the last eight weeks, my view of theology has changed from unappreciative to appreciative, while developing an understanding of the importance of growing in my theological knowledge, not only to become closer to my Creator, but to be able to practically integrate theology into my everyday life. …show more content…
This assignment challenged me to conduct research within my textbook, Bible and other outside resources in order to prove that Christ is actively involved in His creation. As I continued to research, I discovered how great His desire is to know me and the immeasurable amount of power He contains in order to do so. As I continued to grow in my understanding of God, my relationship with Him began to flourish as well. Developing a deeper understanding of God, not only gives you wisdom regarding Christ and His Word, it also creates a hunger and thirst to learn more in order to create a strong relationship between you and your Father. At the beginning of this semester, I saw theology as another pre-requisite I needed to check off my degree- completion plan, but over these last eight weeks, I’ve grown to appreciate the importance of theology and its life changing

As I was reading this article I was angry and felt as if i would not agree with anything said, however, once I regarded the time period and allowed myself to be open to the opinions of others, I began to see some similarities. They were few, but similarities nonetheless. I agree with Macarthur in the aspect of some psychologists disregarding the ability to be assisted by prayer, reading the Bible and meditation with God. I believe that those things are important and vital to finding peace and well as strength through mental and emotional difficulties. Practicing “Christian” Psychologists should never advise against them or promote activity that go against Biblical teaching.…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Just like early Christians thinkers, I have greatly benefitted from fitting my beliefs and convictions inside the context of the church’s worship. This has been where “the rubber meets the road” for me. Here, I have been a part of asking, “How do we biblically worship the triune God and not just God the father?” or “what place does the Lord’s Supper have in our order of service and why?” or even, “why are we singing the songs we are singing; what god are we really worshipping?”…

The influences of my work and goals at Colorado Christian University is first and for most the Lord Jesus by the encouragement of the Holy Spirit. Graduation hallmarks a time of genuine but, scholastic reflection of dynamic memories, while personal goals dictate achievements, spiritual growth, and a legacy left for younger generations to follow. Shorter University fosters the opportunity to receive a Christ-centered education while allowing students to remain focused on pursuing their relationship with God. As an exuberant high-school senior, I reside with my mother, younger sister, and my troublesome pet cat, Cally, and I enjoy working part-time at Marco’s Pizza. My arduous pursuits consist of playing the clarinet, writing poetry, learning the art of the French language, and volunteering throughout the community. Apart from earning a degree in accounting at Shorter University, my personal goals, that I will accomplish by graduation, range not only - from harnessing a deeper relationship with God as I continue to fulfill his call to share the gospel - but also, to developing new, yet immutable friendships, while cultivating my greatest contribution: my desire to publish my writing to glorify God.…

The theological integration of faith and learning is one of the essential elements to the educational theory and practice of a Christian Higher Education institution. A discussion of these essential elements helps to set the backdrop for an explanation of my approach to the integration of faith and teaching, learning, and research in regards to Christian Higher Education, especially to Christian Ministry and Leadership discipline. I believe that the elements that are essential to the educational theory and practice of a Christian university are the development of students’ Christian worldview in which Christ-centered education is systematically rooted, the theological integration of faith and learning, and the preparation of students’ vocation…

God made me realize that the more of a relationship I have with him, the more I will understand the hardships of life. “We as Christians need a foundation of prior deliberative theological reflection to prepare us as best as possible for dozens of daily choices as well as the life-altering decisions we face” (128). Judaism is one of the oldest religions that is still widely practiced today.
