My First Love Cannot Compare
Growing up we are all faced with love. It may be a family/friendly ?I love you? with those that are closest to you, or it might be a very strong, serious feeling with that one special person. Either way, knowing that someone has feelings for you and enjoys having you around in their life, that?s a special excitement for us to feel.
I have always been a romantic. I love relationships, couples, and laughing with someone who means everything to you. Many of us go through a number of relationships before we find ?the one?. Although, no love compares to your first love. I found this love when I was sixteen years old.

I still had an extensive infatuation about him, but I learned to just be friends with him since he obviously did not want me. We became extremely close and started doing everything together. We would go to the movies and purchase most expensive bag of popcorn and large drinks, all while laughing and enjoying each other?s presence at the time. We even rode every ride together at Disney World during our choir trip, again, not helping the whole ?I have an immense crush on you? thing. At this point in my life I was so worried that I was never going to find a boyfriend, let alone love. All my friends were dating someone and so I just thought that I wasn?t worthy enough. My best friend, Taylor, thought I was absolutely ridiculous for thinking such thoughts because she believed I was a beautiful and strong girl who deserved a Godly man. Jason and I began dating. We took it really slow because love was really meaningful to both of us. We went on spontaneous dates, cheered our friends on together, worshipped together, and so much more. I was having some of the best months of my life with Jason. We ended up performing in Peter Pan, our high school musical, together and it was one of the best moments that made me realize how much I love seeing him do what he loves, and being by his side to support him. On January 17, 2014, I fell in love with him. I was so scared that I was actually admitting to myself that I am head over heels for this guy. I didn?t want to ruin anything and love is a BIG word. On the last week of January, Jason took me out of class and brought me to the theatre to perform a song he had written for me. It was so beautiful and special to me. The minute he stopped playing, he told me that he loved me, that was the happiest moment of my life. I could not believe I was lucky enough to be in love with my best
