How does technology influence our everyday lives?

The revolution of technology have embarked back in the ancient time, where sword and catapults were the savior to the wars. From telegraphs to radios to computers, it’s amazing how human brains can come up with brilliant ideas that can facilitate human lives. Despite all that amazingness, we need to also look for the down side of technology. Less talking are involved in a normal conversation and less interaction among the people, less energy are invested to do work, and privacy is violated obliviously/unknowingly.

Sending messages and searching for information is now faster and better than ever. The systems within the devices/ the monitor systems have made the performance much faster and easier to access. Inventors knew that humans don’t have patience for things, thus they create these systems to save times for busy people like us. In the article How technology has affected our everyday lives, “It has become easier to book railway tickets, bus tickets and even flights at the comforts of your home without having to move. The payment of bills and other accounts related jobs of every business entity is easily managed by the available online facilities” (How Technology Has Affected Our Everyday Lives). Tickets and hotels can be booked easily, and it can be done at home, even on the bed. Comparing to the past, purchasing things and making payments for leisure moments have been evidenced to function much better and take less time. Nevertheless, many people took advantage of these devices’ functions and turn themselves into the “couch potatoes.” Sitting on a couch or laying on the bed is becoming a trend now. Because the technology is so often used nowadays, we don’t see the need to put a little bit more effort into what we do or like to do. Order foods, especially pizza, is so much quicker and easy. Many of us shared interesting stories on Snapchat or Facebook, talking about their experience during their trips. Photos and videos are posted on blogs and comments come time after time. Another important example is personal information being transferred/ trasnposrted technologically. This leads to less paperwork and less face-to-face meet, which is flexible for busy people. Nevertheless, in the other hand, these posts and personal information can allow strangers to track out our location and identity and (what is word for using someone’s information for bad purpose?). Technology is useful, thus having the ability to track location and violate privacy. Many teenagers who are new to social media first started their profile with a lot of information but did not know that they are available for the public to see. There was many cases in the past that many people were kidnapped or have been missing, due to their house location being posted on their social media. Social media users cannot see who view their profile on blogs, so the viewers will take advantage of this as a way to access information unknowingly. There are setting about privacy, but it is still better to not input any personal information online. In addition, database workers or information assistances, can monitor information being faxed or emailed to a company for interview, medical application, or important works. In
