"Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are and capable of becoming." John wooden was a successful basketball coach who amounted to everything and knew that being successful didn 't just come out of the blue. Failure is seen everywhere in life especially in school. Students stress a lot over school and lose focus on why school is so important, students must have a comfortable working environment. A student in the Anaheim school district goes to school on a daily bases for 8 hrs Monday through Friday and some even attend on Saturdays for at least 4 hours. More than half of the students stress out over school and classes and the environment the students are in …show more content…
It’s easy for someone to say “how is this going to even affect the student’s”. People will argue that this will only distract the students more than they already are. This is going to sound harsh, but this will eliminate the students who want to and are focused and want to learn and from the students who do not care about their education. There will be a drop in students who are failing and an increase on the students who have always been focused but struggled on their own. In “Marita’s Bargain” it shows how students education is affected by poverty. Separates and compares the education from a wealthy person and a poor person. The Kipp foundation opened up an opportunity to show how if they introduce a well education program a school in the poor side of the Bronx. The education level will grow and only increase. “When it comes to reading skills poor kids learn nothing when school is not in session.” All this falls into the category of environment. If a student of any grade level or age if they do not have a good learning environment do not expect to get the most out of the students. A healthy working environment will make it so the student is not stressed and is relaxed when learning thus the student will get the most out of the lesson they are receiving. This change to the environment in the schools here at Anaheim will not only increase the learning success rate, but will also help benefit …show more content…
Making the schools in Anaheim more suitable for students and will possibly make it so students will wake up not stressed about school. Allowing the student to go to class with an opened mind and relaxed. As a district we guarantee that all the students here at Anaheim will want to go to school instead of complaining and being stressed over having to go to school.Schools in Anaheim like Gilbert which is a credit recovery school takes at least 30% of students that do not have enough credits to graduate high school. If schools like Gilbert were to be made to be more suitable for working conditions it may not be known as just a credit recovery school,But maybe a school like the others here in Anaheim. In "Marita 's Bargain" again a passage from the collection Textbook it describes how kids fail do to there living conditions at home and at school. So they ran a test on both wealthy and poor kids. “Three quarters of the students come from single parent home." That some sentence gives a big idea of the conditions some of the students go through and they are only in the 5th grade. It is important that kids like these get a good education and that can be affected by having a good working environment. For this to work and be effective it needs to be enforced and supported by the people that are making this change happen. The students need to know that as a district we know what they are going through and why they are struggling.

Anaheim High School isn’t at its best anyone can notice the more time we need in classes for better grades. Other schools would notice this as well or have the same problem, Anaheim’s grades aren’t the best and or is the knowledge at Anaheim High School. The only thing seen is needing improvement on is the school hours and the reason why I mention this is because teachers know this is true. Students need time to learn even though there are those quick learners but there is also those that struggle. Within the story Marita's Bargain by Malcolm Gladwell a fictional genre it mentions “Higher test scores only come by taking time to study and understand the work” this is a fact that schools must take notice about, even if the schools are either…

In Kandice Sumner’s Ted Talk, How America's public schools keep kids in poverty, she passionately delivers a message about the “education debt” (Sumner, 2015) that many schools, especially those in poor neighborhoods are suffering from. Through her experience as a both a teacher and a student, she constructs an influential speech that argues that we need to help and change the school system, as to include kids of minority races and give equal opportunities to each and every student. Unlike some kids, I have lived outside of New Mexico, I have experienced different things, gone to different schools, and seen different cultures. I have seen the difference in resources, first-hand, in which some of the schools I have been to had many resources…

As many students are stressed, they may develop mental health issues and consequently fall short of reaching their full potential. This will be an issue because it leaves an entire generation of students who may not contribute to society in meaningful ways. Because many students do not want to personally identify themselves as lacking healthy coping strategies, they might not take advantage of the resources provided by the school and our team. This could lead to greater mental health issues later in life after stress levels have become toxic to the brain. Because adults tend to ignore that students are susceptible to stress on a daily basis, many students are not provided with sufficient coping strategies in their homes or classrooms.…
