Any student having a teacher that struggled herself in school, and college accomplish a graduate degree in teaching shows endurance, dedication, commitment and the knowledge that everything in life is achievable, with hard work and perseverance and knowing someone will be there for you is a relief in of itself. That with each struggle, be it academic, behavioral, social, emotional, or physical moving forward is the best option, and that life has hard knocks, but it hold great success stories. To have a teacher with patience and determination to make one successful is half the battle, and I know I am that teacher. I want to be that teacher that is there to help her students understand, listen, and be patient with them until they can comprehend and obtain what is before them. To show that every student is different, that we learn differently, and that it is okay to be different in many facets, and that it is a teacher’s love of teaching that teaches how the student learns, not how the teacher wishes to teach. Holding the understanding that not everyone learns the same, at the same pace, or at the same period. That they are a facility that opts to benefit future teachers by supporting their needs and providing what is necessary to see them obtain their masters, successfully and without judgment. That is why I selected MCLA for my master’s degree. I am mentally, physically and emotional drained a t the moment, since graduating in December of 2015; however, I also know I will be mentally, physically and emotional ready come August when I will begin my graduate studies. I am a bit apprehensive, and nervous attending a new school but know I can achieve anything I chose to go after because I am a very positive, determined young woman that know her future students will be better performers because of her perseverance, and determinate to be successful in life. I have reached for my dreams, to hold a bachelors degree in education with outstretched arms and obtained it. I also know I am on the homeward stretch of achieving everything I need to tech special needs students, and that is what motivate me to continue to move forward with my struggles, trials and tribulations, because the end is in sight and my future students
