The subject I have chosen to write this essay on is ‘Media bias’. Media bias is where a journalist leans to one side of an argument rather than staying neutral with the subject in hand; throughout all media forms, this has become the norm. In this paper I will develop two arguments supporting each side of media bias. The two sides of an argument I will portray in this essay are; if all media forms are biased in some way or if some have a completely unbiased ideology.

However, if you compare both of these reports with the BBC’s report on Nigella, you can instantly note that the BBC’s report has a completely unbiased view, this is shown by how the lead paragraph has been worded [BBC News. 2013. This instantly shows an unbiased view towards Nigella’s drug abuse as it shows that it was Charles Saatchi who accused Nigella of taking drugs, rather than Daily Star’s take, which portrayed them both as extreme drug takers.

The internet isn’t always a reliable source to gather information though, an example of another website that has used a biased view against Nigella is The Sun. The Sun has used certain wording in its title in order to attract extra attention to the News Report. [The Sun. 2013. 'Nigella let her kids smoke dope'. [online] Available at: [Accessed: 19 Dec 2013]. “’Nigella let her kids smoke dope’ TV chef lied on oath, court told” This title shows aspects of a biased
