As a marketing researcher working for a big corporation such as McDonalds, keeping up with the fast pace changing world of consumers is important. Companies “need information in order to develop and deliver products and/or services that can satisfy their customer’s needs” (Brown, T., Sutter, T., & Churchill, G., 2014, pg. 3). In this paper I will discuss two new product ideas that McDonald’s can incorporate into their menu to meet consumers wants and needs, while maintain a positive dietary and lifestyle changes. Now days some two-thirds of Americans are overweight and roughly 30 percent of American children are overweight or obsess. McDonalds is known for fast, highly processed meats on their menu. Consumers are seeking more and more the nutritional benefits of meat and poultry products, while eating less processed meats. “While there has been a shift toward increased poultry consumption in the U.S., red meat still represents the largest proportion of meat consumed” (McNeil, S., 2014). Consumers increasing preferences for leaner cuts of red meat is on the rise. McDonalds marketing campaign for offering higher quality/leaner meat options may increase revenue along with decreasing negative criticism. Consuming healthy lean protein is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The body uses proteins and amino acids for growth and development throughout life to repair and maintain itself. While consuming a health amount of lean protein is beneficial, consuming a high levels of processed meat over a long period of time can be detrimental to the body. “Consumer preferences for leaner cuts of red meat, driven by dietary guidance in recent decades instructing the increased consumption of lean meats and trimming excess fast from meats” (McNeil, S.,
