To make things clear, as per the Welsh wedding customs go, their tradition says that once a man has to carve a spoon out of wood and gift it to a woman whom he loved. If she wore it, they get engaged. Interestingly, bride kidnapping also takes place in Wales where they are kidnapped by the family members just a day before the wedding. While the groom and his family follow suit, whoever rescues the woman gets to marry the next.
