Dave Ramsey has made a big impact on the way I look at my future life and money decisions. Taking his class has opened my eyes to the importance of financial awareness. Before I took his class I didn 't know the difference between a grant and a scholarship, and before I took his class this didn 't strike me as a problem. I now know the difference between a scholarship and a grant, and I have a better understanding of how to finance my future. This is all thanks to Dave Ramsey.

Nothing is more terrifying that drowning in debt, well maybe getting attacked by a bear, but drowning in debt is definitely up there. When you take out student loans you are causing yourself to graduate college in debt. Not exactly the fresh start you wanted. When I think of my graduation from college I think of it as the start to my official life. But, how can I begin my life if I 'm ten feet under in debt. I don 't want to spend 10 years digging myself out of the deep hole of debt I created trying to get an education. I want to be able to live where I want and have a job I truly love. However, if I 'm in debt it holds be back from those things. I will more than likely have to take the first job I 'm offered to start making payments on the loans I owe. I think of student loans as the thing that will get you stuck. I have talked to so many adults that wish they could have seen some place or done something but couldn 't because they needed to pay off their debts. Tech schools are extremely beneficial for those students who know exactly what they want to pursue. They allow them to learn the skills required for the career they are pursuing in a relatively short period of time. Because you receive your degree faster, tech schools are cheaper to attend. Community colleges is the other lower cost choice. Community colleges are partly funded by the government, so there are usually more scholarship options. Kansas is filled with community colleges so there is also a good chance you could attend a college close to home. You may even be able to live at home, thus avoiding dorms costs. Another option is a private college. One benefit of a private college is they are usually smaller so the class sizes could be comparable to most high school class sizes. If you struggle with environments filled with people a private college is probably a good choice for you. The down side to private colleges is they are pretty pricey. Some tuitions are even comparable to an out of state tuition. The last option is a University and there are two types. You can attend a D1 University or a D2 University. D2 universities are slightly smaller than D1 University’s and less expensive. They are great for the kids who want out of the small school feel but don 't won 't to go to a massive
