When the less fortunate get the education that will expand their knowledge, students will later on in life will get a high earning job. The Treasury with the Department of Education stated, “Moreover, the earnings differential underestimates the economic benefits of higher education since college-educated workers are less likely to be unemployed and more likely to have jobs that provide additional non-wage compensation (e.g., paid vacation, employer-provided health insurance)”(3). When students get receive a higher education after graduating from college, there are jobs that provide better pay and benefits. Sikhan says, “Politicians and media pundits often point to choices students make, noting that because low-income students often achieve less academically, they focus on entering the job market earlier.” (Sikhan 1). Older students have a mindset of working instead of going to school receiving significant education. For colleges Weissmann stated, “The problem is that most don 't finish, or settle for less than a bachelor 's degree, which of course limits their earning power later in life” (1). Students are struggling to pay attention also with paying for college which results in the low rate of low income students receiving higher education. Schools have to find a new way of teaching education to underprivileged students to get their attention to learn influential
